Lancelot 'Lanty' Slee (1800〔http://www.thecumbrian.co.uk/people.htm〕/1802–1878) was a Lake District farmer, quarryman and notorious smuggler. Slee was convicted of illegal distillation of liquor in May 1853 and fined £150.
